Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley down the Pilbara coast as a ridge moves
south of the State. The southern extent of the trough moves east on Tuesday,
lingering over the Interior from Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge builds over the southwest with a west coast trough today. The trough
moves eastward on Tuesday as a cold front passes to the south of the State
Monday night and Tuesday, with the trough lingering over central and eastern
districts for much of the week. The next cold front reaches the southwest
corner on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 20 September
Light showers and drizzle south of a line from Eneabba to Israelite Bay,
contracting to coastal areas in the evening. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm
in eastern parts of the Interior. Afternoon and evening showers possible over
the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 21 September
Light showers and drizzle southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany. Possible
showers and thunderstorms over central parts of the Interior, the far northern
Goldfields and adjacent inland Gascoyne. Chance of an afternoon shower over the
north and west Kimberley. Possible morning fog over western parts of the South
West Land Division and the northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 September
Light showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and thunderstorms across the Goldfields, eastern parts of the Gascoyne
and South West Land Division and western parts of the Eucla and South Interior.
Chance of an afternoon shower in coastal parts of the Kimberley. Possible
morning fog over western parts of the South West Land Division and the
northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 September
Showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and thunderstorms across the South Interior, Goldfields, adjacent
inland Gascoyne, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Chance of an afternoon shower near the north and west Kimberley coast. Possible
morning fog over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 24 September
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and thunderstorms across the South Interior, Goldfields, far eastern
Gascoyne and Eucla. Chance of an afternoon shower in coastal parts of the
Kimberley. Possible morning fog over western and southern parts of the South
West Land Division.
