Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge extending through the Kimberley will gradually weaken over the weekend.
A trough over the Gascoyne and southern Interior is deepening. The trough will
move to the Pilbara and central Interior later Friday. Associated cloud band
brings unseasonal rain to the Pilbara and Interior on Thursday and Friday. The
cloud band will continue to linger over the weekend, before contracting to the
Interior next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough over southern WA is moving east, ahead of a cold front moving
through the South West Land Division tonight. Associated cloud band brings
widespread rainfall to much of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, southern
Interior, Eucla and Goldfields. The trough and cold front will move north and
east on Friday, contracting the cloud band to central and eastern parts of the
state, where it is expected to linger until next week. A weak high pressure
system will quickly move across southern WA later Friday into Saturday,
followed by another cold front on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 11 June
Rain and showers south of a line from Port Hedland to Warburton. Possible
thunderstorms over western Gascoyne, southwest Pilbara, eastern Goldfields,
Eucla, northern parts of Central West, southern Interior and along the
southwest coast. Heavy falls are possible over the western Gascoyne and Central
West. Windy over western Gascoyne, western Interior and southwest Pilbara at
times.

Forecast for Friday 12 June
Light showers or drizzle over the South West Land Division, contracting to the
south coast and west coast in the afternoon. Rain and showers over the
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western and central Pilbara, western and southern parts
of the Interior and Eucla, clearing over southern Gascoyne and southwest
Goldfields in the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms over the
western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and adjacent central Interior
with possible heavy falls. Small hail possible south of Pemberton to Bremer
Bay. Possible morning fog near the eastern Pilbara coast. Windy over the
southwest coast and south coast of the South West Land Division in the morning.
Windy over the Eucla and South Interior during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 13 June
Light showers near the Southwest Capes, extending to the South West district
and along the southern coast of Lower West during the day. Light showers over
east coast of South East coastal district, clearing in the morning. Showers
over the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and southern and western Interior. Chance
of a thunderstorm near the southwest coast in the evening. Areas of morning
frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, western Eucla and far southern parts of the Gascoyne. Windy about
the southwest coast in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 14 June
Showers south of a line Kalbarri to Ravensthorpe, northeast Central Wheat Belt,
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern and western Interior, and Eucla. Chance
of a thunderstorm near the southwest coast, far eastern Goldfields, eastern
Eucla, southern and western Interior. Morning frost possible through the
Central Wheat Belt and adjacent southwest Goldfields. Possible morning fog near
the southwest Pilbara coast.

Forecast for Monday 15 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
southern and central Interior, and Eucla, clearing over southern and western
Gascoyne and inland parts of the South West Land Division during the afternoon
and evening. Chance of a thunderstorm over the South Interior and eastern
Eucla. Morning frost possible through inland southwestern parts of the South
West Land Division. Possible morning fog near the west Kimberley coast.
