Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough spans the west Kimberley and North Interior, its northern extent
drifting into the Pilbara on Tuesday. A ridge to the south pushes south to
southeasterly winds over the Pilbara during the mornings.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band spans from northwest to southeastern parts, supported by a trough
lingering in northern South West Land Division early next week, then drifting
east. A ridge extends along the south coast, with a cold front brushing far
southern parts late Tuesday. The ridge then slides north and strengthens over
southern WA from Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 5 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, with showers easing southwest of the
Perth to Bremer Bay. Showers and areas of rain over the Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Eucla and southern South Interior.
Forecast for Monday 6 October
Showers over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and Gascoyne.
Showers and areas of rain with the chance of a thunderstorm over the
Goldfields, Eucla and southern South Interior. Possible morning fog over
southern parts of the South West Land Division and far north Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 October
Showers over coastal districts of the South West Land Division. Showers and the
chance of a thunderstorm over the eastern Goldfields, southern South Interior
and Eucla. Chance of a shower over the north Kimberley coast. Possible morning
fog or frost over the inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla, and far north Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 8 October
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, and Eucla. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over
the eastern South Interior. Chance of a shower over the north Kimberley coast.
Possible morning fog over the western parts of the South West Land Division and
far north Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 9 October
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay and along the Esperance
coast. Chance of a shower over the far northwest Kimberley coast. Possible
morning fog over the far northwest Kimberley, and over southern districts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
