Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cold front will pass through central and southern WA on Thursday, with an
associated cloud band producing cool temperatures and light rainfall through
much of northern WA. The ridge will cross the west coast on Friday before
passing eastward through central WA on Saturday, as fresh and gusty east to
southeasterly surges return to the Pilbara and southern Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will cross the west coast tonight and continue eastward through
central and southern WA, with a high pressure ridge extending across the west
coast in its wake. A low will deepen south of the State on Thursday before
moving towards the Bight on Friday. The centre of the high will cross the west
coast during Friday before passing eastward through central WA on Saturday. The
next cold front will then reach the west coast during Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 23 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, west-central Pilbara,
Gascoyne and adjacent central Interior. Showers more frequent over the western
districts and western south coast with heavy downpours and possible gusty
thunderstorms. Windy across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 24 July
Showers across most of the State bar the east and north Kimberley. Areas of
more persistent rain in the east Pilbara, Interior and in the South East
Coastal District. Showers generally easing and clearing in the afternoon and
evening over the inland from the west and south coasts in the South West Land
Division, and across the Gascoyne and west-central Pilbara. Cold throughout the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne and western and
southern Interior. Possible small hail south and west of a line from Jurien Bay
to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay. Snow flurries possible over the higher
peaks of the Stirling Ranges. Chance of morning fog over the north and
northwest Kimberley. Windy across much of the state south of the northern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 25 July
Showers over the southern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields with
strong winds across the Eucla, and possible small hail about the South East
Coastal District. Showers gradually contracting eastward out of the southern
and central Kimberley and Interior. Chance of morning fog over the north
Kimberley. Areas of frost through the inland South West Land Division, western
Goldfields and inland Gascoyne. Unseasonably cool throughout the State except
in the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 26 July
Possible showers, mainly later in the day, in the Lower West. Showers in the
South West and about the south coast. Widespread morning frosts through inland
parts of the South West Land Division and Gascoyne, as well as the Goldfields,
South Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of morning fog over the southwest
Goldfields, inland southern South West Land Division and far northern
Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over the Pilbara, North
Interior and southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 27 July
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms about the Central West, Lower West and
South West. Showers extending eastward into the Gascoyne, Goldfields and
remaining South West Land Division, possibly reaching western parts of the
Eucla and Pilbara later in the day or at night. Moderate to heavy falls
possible in the South West and Lower West. Areas of frost in the morning over
the eastern and northern South West Land Division, Goldfields, South Interior,
inland Gascoyne and southeast Kimberley. Possible morning fog in the far
northern Kimberley.
