Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough lies near coastal parts of the Kimberley and east Pilbara and
will remain in place for the next few days. Ridging that extends through inland
northern parts will gradually break down going into the weekend, resulting in
an easing of east to southeasterly winds. The northern end of a strong cold
front will pass south of the Pilbara on Sunday night and Monday as a new ridge
extends into the region from the west.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will clear east into South Australia on Friday as the
northern end of a weak cold front passes through southern WA. Another ridge
will build eastward through southern WA on Saturday. A stronger cold front will
then reach the west coast later on Sunday, continuing east through central and
southern WA during Sunday night and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 July
Light showers south and west of a line from Yanchep to Albany. Generally clear
skies throughout central, northern and eastern WA.

morning fog over the far northern Kimberley. Windy at times over the southern
