Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Light winds over eastern parts. A high pressure system developing in the south
from Friday steers southerly winds over western parts, tending southeasterly
across the north on Saturday as the high pressure system moves inland.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front continues moving eastwards over the south of the state today. A
new high pressure system drifts over the south of the state during Friday and
Saturday, followed by a sequence of cold fronts on Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 3 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, and the southern
Gascoyne. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm over the Goldfields and the coastal
fringe between Albany and Esperance. Fresh winds over the Central West,
Gascoyne, Goldfields and South Interior, easing in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 4 July
Showers over the southern coastal districts, southern Goldfields, and coastal
Central West. Chance of light showers over the remaining South West Land
Division, southwest Gascoyne, Goldfields and Southern Interior. A possible
thunderstorm near the coast about Esperance and over the southeast Eucla. Fresh
winds over the South East Coastal, Goldfields, Eucla and Southern Interior in
the afternoon.

Forecast for Saturday 5 July
Showers about southern coastal parts and the South West Capes, extending north
along the west coast to Mandurah later in the day. Patchy morning frost and fog
over inland parts of the South West Land Division and the Goldfields. Patchy
morning frost extending north into the Gascoyne. Fresh winds over northern
districts in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 6 July
Showers over the South West and Lower West, developing about the remainder of
the South West Land Division throughout the day. The slight chance of a shower
over the western Gascoyne. Gusty thunderstorms possible about the coastal
fringe of the South West district. Patchy morning frost over southeastern and
central parts. Windy over the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields
and Gascoyne in the afternoon.

Forecast for Monday 7 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla. The
chance of a thunderstorm about the coastal fringe between Cape Naturaliste and
Esperance. Possible small hail over the South Coastal district and adjacent
parts of the South West and Great Southern. Patchy morning fog in the west
Pilbara and Gascoyne. Possible morning frost in central parts. Windy over the
southern half of the state.
