Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough lies near the Pilbara coast while a high over southeastern
Australia is bringing generally light easterly winds and sunny conditions to
northern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band extending from the Gascoyne, through the Southern Interior and
southwards to the Eucla district will weaken and move southeast of the State on
Thursday. A weak low pressure system lies south of the State and is moving east
as a ridge pushes in over southwest WA. The ridge will move slowly east during
Thursday and Friday with a cold front approaching from the southwest on
Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 June
Showers mainly in coastal areas between Geraldton and the South Australian
border, extending inland through the Southeast Coastal and Eucla districts.
Chance of a thunderstorm near the Esperance coast. Areas of rain through the
southern South Interior. Possible morning fog over inland parts of the South
West Land Division, southern Gascoyne and southwestern Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 14 June
Possible showers, mainly light, associated with a cloud band extending from the
western Pilbara and Gascoyne into the Goldfields. Chance of showers about the
southwest and south coasts south of Harvey. Areas of fog in the morning about
southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 15 June
Showers about eastern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern and
central Goldfields and Eucla, and developing west of a line from Dongara to
Walpole during the afternoon. Chance of a thunderstorm about the west coast
south of Mandurah. Chance of morning fog over the Eucla, southern Gascoyne and
west Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 16 June
Showers extending to southwest of a line Carnarvon to Esperance during the day.
Chance of a thunderstorm southwest of Bunbury to Walpole.
