Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley. The ridge will strengthen
from Friday bringing a return of moderate to fresh and gusty winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies to the south of the State and a broad trough near the west coast.
A high pressure system will strengthen over the southeast of the State from
Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 16 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern South Interior and adjacent
goldfields and Gascoyne, clearing later. Chance of morning fog about southern
coastal districts of the South West Land Division and far western Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 17 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland northwest Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara in the afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny day over the remainder of
the state. Chance of morning fog about southern coastal districts of the South
West Land Division and western Eucla. Windy over most parts of the state away
from the south coast.

Mostly sunny throughout. Windy over most parts of the State.

Mostly sunny throughout. Windy over most parts of the State.
