Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will continue to direct slightly cooler, drier east to
southeasterly flow over the northern parts of the State on the weekend and
early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over southern WA is moving east. A weak cold front is expected to cross
the southwest of the State this morning, moving into the Goldfields and
Interior tonight and into Sunday, before exiting the State on Monday. Another
ridge will follow in the wake of the front, becoming established over southern
WA early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 13 May
Showers over the Southwest Land Division, far southern Gascoyne, southern and
central Goldfields, adjacent South Interior and much of the Eucla district,
more frequent about the far southwestern parts of the State. Chance of a
morning thunderstorm over the southwestern coastal parts, developing over the
Goldfields, western Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division
during the day. Windy over the Goldfields, eastern parts of South East Coastal
and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Sunday 14 May
Showers over the southern coastal districts, southern parts of the Great
Southern, southern and eastern Goldfields, and southern Interior. Chance of a
thunderstorm over Eucla, eastern Goldfields and southern Interior.

Forecast for Monday 15 May
Showers over the southern coastal districts and southern parts of Great
Southern.

Forecast for Tuesday 16 May
Light showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
