Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ilsa will move into southern parts of the Northern
Territory this morning. A broad trough will develop over the Kimberley from
Saturday and extend over offshore waters north of the Pilbara. A high pressure
ridge developing over central parts of the State will bring a southeasterly
surge over northern parts, keeping the trough offshore.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An unseasonal cool to cold southwesterly flow persists over the south of the
State. A weak cold front then brushes the south coast on Saturday and again on
Monday with a ridge over central parts of the South West Land Division. The
high pressure ridge will move south of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 15 April
Showers and the risk of squally thunderstorms over far northeast parts of the
Interior, clearing eastward this morning. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over
the Kimberley, contracting to northern parts during the day. Cool with showers
over the coastal Eucla, southern districts of the South West Land Division, and
along the west coast south of Jurien Bay.

Forecast for Sunday 16 April
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley. Showers southwest
of Lancelin to Bremer Bay and along the Esperance coast.

Forecast for Monday 17 April
Showers southwest of Rockingham to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 April
Possible light showers over the South East Coastal District and Eucla,
contracting east during the day.
