Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight, with fresh and gusty
southeasterly winds over the north of the State in the mornings. A trough will
develop west of the Pilbara on Thursday then move slowly east to lie over the
eastern Pilbara by Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over southern parts of the State will move into the
Bight during Wednesday. A trough will develop off the west coast on Thursday,
then move slowly east across the State on Friday and Saturday. A cold front
will move across southwestern parts of the State during Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 May
Possible rain over the eastern Pilbara and the North Interior, clearing later
in the day.

Forecast for Thursday 27 May
Showers near the Southwest Capes, mostly in the afternoon and evening. Showers
and possible thunderstorms over the western Pilbara and western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 28 May
Showers and thunderstorms over western areas of the State. Moderate falls
possible about the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and northern and western
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 29 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the far western Pilbara, the Gascoyne, western
Goldfields and throughout the South West Land Division, with some moderate
falls possible. Showers developing over remaining areas southwest of a line
from Port Hedland to Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
