Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies from the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts, extending down
through the Gascoyne, remaining mostly stationary over the coming days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies in the Bight while a trough extends southwards
from the Gascoyne to central parts of the South West Land Division and towards
the south coast. The trough will move to eastern WA later this week, while a
weak cold front and middle level cloud band moves over the southwest corner of
the State.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the far west Pilbara and western Gascoyne. A
chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the inland Central West, parts of the
Central Wheat Belt, Lower West, Great Southern, South Coastal and South East
Coastal Districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley. Showers developing over
southwestern parts of WA. Chance of thunderstorms over central parts of the
South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley and inland western
Gascoyne. Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Friday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley. Showers southwest of a
line from Bunbury to Bremer Bay.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
