Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the southern Kimberley through the inland Pilbara to the
Gascoyne. The trough will begin to contract east into the Interior later on
Saturday and during Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is located in the Bight with a deepening surface trough
near the west coast. The trough moves inland during today ahead of a cold front
that reaches the southwest late tonight or early Sunday morning. A complex low
pressure system combined with the cold front will slowly move east across the
South West Land Division on Sunday and move south of the State later Monday. A
new ridge of high pressure will extend south of the State during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 31 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, North
Interior, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and over southern and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division. Showers also developing over remaining western
parts southwest of Dongara to Walpole late afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 1 November
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields,
eastern parts of the South West Land Division and eastern Gascoyne. Showers
over parts of the South West Land Division and the southwest Gascoyne with the
chance of a thunderstorm.

Forecast for Monday 2 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 November
Showers over mainly western and southern coastal parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and Eucla
contracting southeast during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
