Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending through the Pilbara and Gascoyne slowly moves east over the
week. A weak ridge sits over the Kimberley until Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge extends along the south coast of the state. A trough over the
Eucla and Goldfields is moving east. A west coast trough develops on Friday
ahead of a cold front passing the southwest coast over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, east Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, and Eucla. Showers developing about the
coastal South West district, extending east to Albany.

Forecast for Thursday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and southeast Interior,
east Pilbara, and east Eucla, tending more frequent over the Kimberley. Light
showers possible south of a line Fremantle to Bremer Bay, easing in the
evening. Morning fog possible over southern and western parts of the South West
Land Division, far southwest Kimberley and northeast coastal Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 17 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers developing south
of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning fog possible over southern and
western parts of the South West Land Division, and along the south coastal
fringe. Hot through northern and eastern inland areas of the South West Land
Division. Windy at times during the day over southern WA.

Forecast for Saturday 18 October
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Bremer Bay. Showers and possible
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, and eastern and central
Pilbara. Thunderstorms also possible over the northern Eucla and adjacent parts
of the Goldfields and South Interior. Morning fog possible over the inland
northwestern South West Land Division, the adjacent Gascoyne, and over the
northern coastal Kimberley. Hot over southeastern parts of the state. Windy at
times over southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 19 October
Light showers and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
and northeastern parts of the Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla districts,
tending more frequent over the northern Kimberley. Showers southwest of a line
from Kalbarri to Esperance, and about the southwest Goldfields and the
remainder of the Eucla district. Windy over the southeast Interior in the
morning, and over the far northwest in the evening.
