Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern WA will direct an east to southeast flow across the
region until a cold front moves through southern WA Wednesday evening and into
Thursday. The next ridge will bring a dry southeast wind surge across the north
from Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will move over the southwest of the state Wednesday evening and
through remaining southern parts on Thursday. A firm ridge will develop over
southern WA from Friday and will be the dominant weather pattern over the state
through the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 13 August
Gusty showers developing southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Walpole extending to
southwest of Denham to Bremer Bay during the evening. Possible coastal
thunderstorms between Cape Naturalise and Windy Harbour. Damaging winds
possible over the South West and Lower West districts during the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 14 August
Showers south of a line from Coral Bay to Caiguna, extending to southwest of
Exmouth to Forrest during the day, though mostly clearing and contracting to
the south coast and eastern Eucla in the late afternoon. Gusty thunderstorms
and the chance of small hail possible south of Busselton to Bremer Bay in the
morning. Morning fog possible about the far northwest Gascoyne and far west
Pilbara. Windy across the southern coastal districts, Goldfields and southern
Interior.

Forecast for Friday 15 August
Showers about southern coastal parts. Morning fog and frosts over inland parts
of the South West Land Division, and southwestern Goldfields. Windy morning
across the Interior, southern Kimberley and Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 16 August
Chance of showers about the south and Eucla coasts, mostly morning. Morning fog
and frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Morning frosts over the central Goldfields and southern South
Interior. Windy across the Interior, southern Kimberley, Pilbara and
northeastern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 17 August
Light showers developing over most of the South West Land Division and far
southwest Goldfields during the afternoon and evening. Morning frost possible
over the eastern South Interior and far southern Goldfields. Morning fog
possible over southern coastal districts. Windy across the Interior, southern
Kimberley, Pilbara and northeastern Gascoyne.
