Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the Pilbara coast extending into southern Kimberley will drift
slowly inland during the weekend as a ridge strengthens into the west Pilbara.
The trough will deepen back towards the inland west Pilbara during Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough is moving slowly eastward through the inland South West Land Division
and will continue moving east to reach South Australia on Sunday. The northern
end of a cold front will brush the southwest coast this morning, followed by a
new ridge strengthening across southern and western parts of the state through
the weekend. Another trough will deepen from the inland Gascoyne down through
the South West later Monday into Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 8 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Interior, inland
central Pilbara and eastern Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms with little to no
rainfall over the Goldfields and inland South East Coastal District. Showers
south and west of a line from Kalbarri to Dalwallinu to Bremer Bay, most
widespread about the southwest corner. Very hot over northern parts of the
State and extending into the northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and
inland South East Coastal District.

Forecast for Sunday 9 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland east-central Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, and adjacent parts of the western South Interior and
northern Goldfields. Showers over southern districts to the west of Israelite
Bay. Very hot over northern parts of the State and extending into the Interior.

Forecast for Monday 10 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland east-central Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, Interior and adjacent northern Goldfields. Possible showers
over the southern coastal districts. Showers over southern coastal districts.
Very hot over central parts of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of mainly afternoon
showers and thunderstorms over the inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
north-central Goldfields and Interior. Chance of a light shower about coastal
parts between Denmark and Israelite Bay. Very hot over central parts of the
state and tending warmer in the Central West, Lower West and Central Wheat Belt.
