Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the Pilbara coast through the South Interior.
Another trough branch will extend from the Pilbara down the west coast from
Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system sits in the Bight with a trough just inland from the
west coast. A new ridge will begin to extend south of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms for the Kimberley, Interior, southeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers for the east Pilbara and far eastern
and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms for the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara,
Interior and Eucla. Showers possible for the Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and
most of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara
and Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne and much of
the South West Land Division. Showers possible over the Goldfields and southern
coastal districts.
Forecast for Thursday 20 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, central Pilbara
and northern Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms over the South West Land
Division and western Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
