Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the North Interior and southern Kimberley and extends
west into the Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Gascoyne and into the Interior while a ridge is
developing over the south of the State, Another trough will be situated along
the west coast on Wednesday, before moving inland on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 4 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara and
northern Gascoyne. Possible light showers near the south coast, east of Albany.
Very hot over most of the State, apart from southern parts of the South West
Land Division. Windy at times over southern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Interior, Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Very hot over most of the State, apart
from southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over
southern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 6 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland northern
Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and the adjacent far northern Southeast Coastal
district. Possible shower over the South Coastal district. Very hot over most
of the State, apart from areas near the west and south coast.
Forecast for Friday 7 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Possible shower
over the South Coastal district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
