Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara coast and extends inland to the Kimberley. A
high pressure ridge over the Interior and inland Pilbara is contracting east,
allowing the trough about the Pilbara coast to move inland. Another ridge
developing over central WA late in the week will bring a southeast wind change
to the Pilbara and Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the South West Land Division is moving east as a ridge over
eastern parts of the state pulls away. A weak cold front is moving east across
the far southwest of the state and will be followed by a stronger cold front on
Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will extend over southern and central WA
towards the end of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 3 September
Light showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and western parts of the Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm
over central Interior, southern and far eastern Goldfields, South East Coastal
and western parts of the Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 September
Showers extending over most of the South West Land Division, adjacent far
southern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Chance of
a thunderstorm over the Eucla, southern Interior and southeast Goldfields.
Chance of a thunderstorm over central Interior with little or no rainfall.
Areas of morning fog over southwestern parts of the Gascoyne, northwest
Kimberley, and northern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy at times over the Interior, South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Eucla and
southeast Kimberley. Surf conditions will be hazardous for coastal activities
between Cape Naturaliste and Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Thursday 5 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne,
southern and central Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Chance of a gusty
thunderstorm south of a line Scarborough to Bremer Bay, eastern Eucla and
adjacent South Interior. Possible small hail over the southern parts of the
South West Land Division. Areas of morning fog over northwest Kimberley. Windy
over southern and central WA.

Forecast for Friday 6 September
Showers south of a line from Denham to Merredin to Israelite Bay, South
Interior, and eastern Eucla. Chance of morning fog and frost over inland
northern parts of South West Land Division, southeast Gascoyne, and western
Goldfields. Windy in the morning through the Interior, Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 7 September
Light showers south of a line from Dongara to Israelite Bay, and over central
Interior. Chance of morning fog and frost over inland South West Land Division,
and southwest Goldfields.
