Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over the Bight is moving away, allowing winds to
ease throughout with temperatures warming slightly across the Pilbara on the
weekend. A new ridge developing over southern WA late in the weekend will cause
another cooler southeast surge across the northern districts from Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over the Bight is moving to the east. A cold
front is moving across southwest WA on Saturday. Another firm ridge will follow
in the front’s wake on Sunday and expand over southern WA on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 22 June
Showers west of a line Carnarvon to Esperance, extending to west of a line
Coral Bay to Laverton to Eyre by evening. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm over
the southwestern districts, most likely in the morning. Chance of small hail in
thundery showers south of Margaret River to Bremer Bay. Windy over southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 23 June
Light showers over northern Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields, southern
Interior, and the southern coastal districts. Showers more widespread about the
south coast. Chance of a thunderstorm along the south coast east of Esperance.
Areas of morning frost and fogs over inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 24 June
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Areas of morning frost and fogs
over inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 June
Possible showers over southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and along the
southwest coast and south coasts. Areas of morning frost and fogs about inland
South West Land Division, Goldfields and South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
