Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure extends across the Pilbara to Ex-Tropical
Cyclone Lincoln located over the Kimberly. It will move west to northwest
during today, moving offshore from the Kimberley coast later tonight or early
Thursday where it will possibly redevelop into a Tropical Cyclone.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough just inland from the west coast is expected to move
eastwards ahead of a weak cold front brushing the southwest corner today. A new
high pressure ridge will extend east along the south coast later tonight and
Thursday, with a new trough down the west coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 21 February
Rain, gusty thunderstorms, and heavy falls possible over the north and
northwest Kimberley. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the remaining
Kimberley, northern Interior, and coastal parts of the eastern Pilbara.
Possible shower about the far southwest of the State. Possible morning fog over
the far western parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over most parts
of the State away from the northern Kimberley and southwestern parts of the
State.

Forecast for Thursday 22 February
Rain, gusty thunderstorms, and heavy falls possible over the northwest
Kimberley. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley,
northwest North Interior, Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Becoming windy over
the eastern Pilbara. Very hot over northern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 23 February
Possible showers and thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, Pilbara,
northern parts of the Interior, Gascoyne and far northern South West Land
Division. Windy conditions over the Pilbara and over central parts of the State
and the Darling Scarp. Very hot over the inland southwest Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne and northern South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 24 February
Windy conditions, rain and gusty thunderstorms, with possible heavy falls over
the western Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Possible showers and thunderstorms
over the remaining Pilbara and Gascoyne, Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over the Interior of
the State.
