Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough lies near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. A ridge
extending along the south coast of WA is bringing a southeasterly wind surge to
the western Pilbara. An easterly surge will push north through the remaining
Pilbara and into the Kimberley from today.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge is moving in over southern WA and will extend along the south
coast over the coming days. A trough near the west coast will deepen during
Thursday and Friday and persist near the coast until Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 12 October
Chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over
the inland Gascoyne. Very hot through the Kimberley, Pilbara and western
Gascoyne. Possible early fog patches in southwestern districts. Windy morning
across central parts of the State, the Central West and along the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Friday 13 October
Mostly sunny. Patchy morning fog over southern coastal districts. Very hot
across the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern parts of the South
West Land Division. Windy morning across northern and central parts, the
Central West and along the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Saturday 14 October
Mostly sunny. Patchy morning fog over southern coastal districts. Very hot
across the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northwestern parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy morning across northern and central parts.

Forecast for Sunday 15 October
Mostly sunny. Patchy morning fog over southern coastal districts. Very hot
across the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northwestern parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy morning across central parts of the State.
