Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough across the Kimberley and Pilbara is maintaining light winds. A
new high pressure ridge developing across the south later in the week will
direct an east to southeast change which will push the trough closer to the
coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
Cold fronts will move across the southwest today and Tuesday. A high pressure
ridge will then build across southern WA from Wednesday, with a west coast
trough forming later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 September
Showers south of Geraldton to Salmon Gums to Israelite Bay. Chance of morning
fog over southwest Kimberley. Large swells and hazardous surf about the
southwest coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 September
Showers southwest of Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay. Light falls
away from the western south coast. Chance of morning fog over Central West,
adjacent Gascoyne and northwest Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 September
Light showers southwest of Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Balladonia,
contracting to coastal parts during the morning and clearing in the afternoon.
Chance of morning fog over Central West, adjacent Gascoyne and northwest
Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Thursday 7 September
Sunny conditions. Chance of morning fog and frost over inland South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
