Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Light to moderate winds expected over the north of the State through to early
next week as a series of cold fronts move over the south of the State.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will move over the southwest of the state early this
morning continuing to move east along the south coast later today. Another
weaker cold front is then forecast on Monday, followed by a third weak cold
front on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 3 September
Gusty showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne and
southwest Goldfields, extending into the southeast Goldfields and Eucla during
the morning before contracting to coastal parts between Perth to Eucla by the
evening. Chance of thunderstorms along the south coast and possible small hail
south of line from Perth to Narrogin to Israelite Bay. Light falls over inland
parts. Chance of damaging wind gusts also over the Eucla and adjacent
districts. Large swells and hazardous surf developing about parts of the lower
west coast, and south coasts.
Forecast for Monday 4 September
Showers south of Eneabba to Southern Cross and north along coastal parts to
Kalbarri, contracting to coastal parts by the evening. Light falls. Large
swells and hazardous surf about the south coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 5 September
Showers extending over most parts of the South West Land Division from the west
during the day. Light falls away from the western south coast. Large swells and
hazardous surf about the south coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 September
Light showers over the South West Land Division and adjacent southwest
Goldfields, contracting to coastal parts during the morning and clearing in the
afternoon. Light falls.
