Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough over the Kimberley extends into the eastern Pilbara, and will
further extend into the west Pilbara on Wednesday. A southeasterly surge will
push the trough north off the Pilbara and west Kimberley coasts in the mornings
on Friday and Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An intense low pressure system well to the south of Esperance will east away
from the State this afternoon and evening. Another cold front will move over
the southwest of the State on Thursday with a high pressure ridge rapidly
developing in the wake of the cold front and becoming established over southern
parts on Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 April
Showers south of a line Dongara to Southern Cross to Esperance, contracting to
south of a line Lancelin to Katanning to Balladonia during the day. Chance of a
thunderstorms along the coast between Albany and Israelite Bay. Windy about
southern and southwest coastal districts, easing from the west during the day.
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, southern parts of the
South Interior and Eucla, contracting southeast and clearing during the day.
Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley.
Cool across the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 27 April
Showers southwest of a line Dongara to Merredin to Balladonia and along the
Eucla coast. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the far
northern Kimberley. Cool across the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 28 April
Showers along the south and southwest coasts. Cool across the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Saturday 29 April
Light showers possible along the south coast.
