Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is slow moving over the Kimberley. Another trough over southern
Pilbara will move east across the Interior on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front over the Goldfields and South East Coastal District will move east
across the South Interior and Eucla on Thursday and exit the State. A ridge of
high pressure is extending across the South West Land Division in the wake of
the front. A weak trough will brush past the southwest coast on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Showers and
the chance of thunderstorms over the South Interior and Eucla. Light showers
over southeastern parts of Goldfields, southwest and southern parts of the
South West Land Division. Possible morning frost over the Central Wheat Belt
and Great Southern districts.
Forecast for Friday 7 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Light
showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division, far eastern
parts of South Interior, southern parts of Eucla district and possibly early
about the west coast south of Jurien Bay. Possible morning frost and fog over
the Great Southern, adjacent areas in the South West and South Coastal
districts.
Forecast for Saturday 8 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Light showers developing
about the Southwest Capes. Possible morning frost over the southern Central
Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent South West, South East Coastal, Eucla
and southern parts of the Goldfields districts. Chance of morning fog over
Eucla and adjacent South East Coastal district.
Forecast for Sunday 9 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers over Eucla,
southern and southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
