Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over the eastern parts of the State is moving to the
east. A new, weak high pressure system will move across the south of the State
today and Monday. A cloud band is expected to develop over the far western
Pilbara on Monday as a trough of low pressure develops.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front about the west coast will move inland tonight and weaken. A weak
high pressure system will quickly move east across the South West Land Division
today. Another active cold front will approach the west coast on Monday and
will move inland on Tuesday and Wednesday as a cloud band envelops the south.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 14 August
Light showers near the west coast south of Geraldton and along the south coast.
Light showers also possible over the far western Pilbara, central and eastern
Gascoyne, and western Goldfields. Chance of a morning thunderstorm over eastern
Gascoyne and northwest Goldfields. Morning fogs over the inland parts of the
South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne. Morning frosts possible over
eastern parts of the South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 15 August
Showers developing southwest of a line from Exmouth to Laverton to Esperance.
Chance of thunderstorms developing near the west coast. Heavy falls possible
over the far southwestern Gascoyne and Central West later in the day. Morning
fogs over the South East Coastal, southern parts of the Goldfields, and the
Eucla district.

Forecast for Tuesday 16 August
Rain and showers southwest of a line from Onslow to Forrest. Chance of
thunderstorms over western and central Gascoyne, Central West, Lower West,
South West and Central Wheat Belt. Heavy falls possible over the western
Gascoyne, Central West and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 17 August
Rain and showers over South West Land Division, Gascoyne, far western Pilbara,
Goldfields, Eucla and western parts of South Interior. Chance of thunderstorms
over the southwest coast.
