Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends near the coast from the Kimberley to the Pilbara. It will push
offshore from the Pilbara and southwestern Kimberley coasts for a period during
the mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge extends over the southern half of the State from a strong high
pressure system in the Southern Ocean. The high will slowly move east during
today and weaken on Friday, allowing the ridge to weaken over the State. A weak
front will approach the southwest coast on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 5 May
Showers about the south coast and Eucla coast. Chance of a shower and
thunderstorm over the North Interior and northwest Kimberley coast. Chance of a
shower about the northwest Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 6 May
Showers about the Eucla coast and far eastern parts of South East Coastal
District. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over southern and western
Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 7 May
Possible showers near the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Sunday 8 May
Showers over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, western parts of the Goldfields,
northern and western parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
