Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara to North Interior. A monsoon trough is
located over the north Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the interior of the South West Land Division is expected to move
east to the South Interior today. A new ridge is extending over the southwest
of the state behind the trough. A new low pressure system forms in the western
Bight today but moves away during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 25 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior,
far northeast Gascoyne and northeast parts of the South Interior. Showers and
isolated thunderstorms over the far south of the State. Heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
North Interior and northern parts of the South Interior. Possible showers near
the south coast. Heavy falls possible in the north of the state.
Forecast for Thursday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over far northeast Gascoyne and far north
Goldfields. Possible showers near the south coast. Heavy falls possible in the
north of the state.
Forecast for Friday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over eastern Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
