Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over the south of the state with a trough extending from the
Kimberley to the Pilbara coast. On Monday the ridge contracts southeast as the
trough develops through the central Pilbara. The trough will deepen further on
Tuesday and Wednesday as it moves east through the Pilbara to the North
Interior as a ridge strengthens over the south coast. By Thursday the trough
extends from the inland Kimberley to the Pilbara coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over the south of the state. On Monday and Tuesday a deepening
trough will extend from the Pilbara to the South East Coastal district and
contract east ahead of another cold front that crosses the southwest of the
state. Another ridge will then develop near the south coast during Wednesday
before a trough extends inland from the west coast on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 October
Showers about the South West Capes extending to southwest of a line Jurien Bay
to Bremer Bay during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 October
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Brookton to Israelite Bay with mainly
light falls inland. A chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the southeast
Goldfields and Eucla, most likely during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 October
Showers about the southern and Eucla coasts. A chance of morning frost through
inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 7 October
Showers developing over areas southwest of Bunbury to Bremer Bay during the
afternoon and evening.
