Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is moving east over the Kimberley and Interior today. On Sunday and
Monday another trough will extend from the Kimberley and into the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the eastern Goldfields and far eastern parts of the South West
Land Division will move east into the Eucla and Interior today. A cold front is
contracting to southeast parts of WA today. A second weaker cold front will
cross the South West Capes later today and then adjacent parts early on Sunday,
before a ridge develops over southern parts of the State during the day.
Another front crosses the South West Capes late Monday and then through the
South West Land Division on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 October
Rain and the chance of an early thunderstorm through the southeast Goldfields,
eastern South East Coastal and western Eucla tending to showers and contracting
to eastern Eucla during the morning and clearing during the afternoon. Showers
near southern coastal parts and near the west coast south of Lancelin,
increasing about the SW Capes and adjacent parts in the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 3 October
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Israelite Bay, contracting to the
south coast in the morning.

Forecast for Monday 4 October
Showers extending to southwest of a line Lancelin to Albany during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 October
Showers southwest of a line Kalbarri to Eyre.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
