Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central WA and will begin to weaken during
the weekend before a trough develops across the west Pilbara on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over southern WA will contract east on Friday ahead of
a cold front that crosses the southwest late Friday and into Saturday morning.
A ridge will develop in the wake of the front during Saturday, and then drift
south of the State on Sunday before a trough develops down the west coast on
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 August
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 14 August
Light showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 15 August
Light showers near the south coast. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in
the west Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 16 August
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the west Pilbara and inland
Gascoyne.
