Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over southern parts of the State, directing fresh
and gusty easterly winds over northern parts Tuesday morning. The high will
move over southeastern Australia on Wednesday, with a weak trough developing
near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. A new high pressure ridge will develop
south of the State on Thursday, with fresh and gusty east to southeasterly
winds redeveloping over northern parts on Friday morning.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system will move into the Bight during Tuesday morning. A cold
front will move over the southwest during Wednesday and then weaken. A ridge
will strengthen along the south coast in the wake of the cold front during
Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 11 May
Showers developing near the Southwest Capes in the late afternoon and evening,
with possible thunderstorms.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 May
Showers extending to southwest of a line Geraldton to Northam to Israelite Bay.
Moderate falls possible near the western south coast, with lighter falls in the
remainder. Thunderstorms possible near the Southwest Capes in the morning.

Forecast for Thursday 13 May
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Friday 14 May
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts, mostly during the morning. Fresh
and gusty easterly winds over northern parts in the morning.
