Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies from the Kimberley to the South Interior and is contracting
northwards to lie from the Pilbara coast to the Kimberley coast by Saturday
afternoon. The trough will remain from near the Kimberley and west Pilbara
coasts over the weekend and into next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge of high pressure is developing over southern parts of the State.
The ridge will dominate the synoptic pattern over the weekend before
contracting to the southeast on Monday as a trough develops near the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, and the
northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, and the
western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and
northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest Interior and
western Gascoyne. A chance of showers or thunderstorms over western parts of
the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
