Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies from the Kimberley coast across inland WA.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough is moving through the South Interior and Eucla as a new ridge
of high pressure develops over the southwest of the State. The ridge to the
south of the State will dominant the synoptic pattern over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla. Light showers over most parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of an early morning thunderstorm over far eastern parts of the
Southeast Coastal district.
Forecast for Saturday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, and the
northern Gascoyne. Chance of an early shower or thunderstorm over the far
eastern Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, and the
northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Monday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and
northwest Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
