Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara, Interior and extends to a tropical low
over the southeast Kimberley. The tropical will move from the southeastern
Kimberley into the North Interior during today.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front is moving along the south coast. A new ridge of high pressure will
develop near the south coast late Wednesday. During Thursday and Friday the
ridge near the south coast will be the dominant feature. A high pressure system
will move into the Bight during Saturday and a trough will form near the west
coast.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the central Kimberley, east Pilbara, far
northeast Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields, Eucla and Interior. Rain and moderate
falls over the eastern Kimberley and adjacent North Interior will ease during
the day. Showers near the coastal parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting to the western south coast in the afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far
eastern Goldfields, eastern Eucla and Interior. Possible light showers near the
south coast.

Forecast for Friday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne,
Central West, north and east Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
