Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over southern parts of WA and adjacent parts of the
Bight. The ridge over central parts weakens later today as a cold front moves
over the southwest before strengthening again from Wednesday as a high moves
into the Bight.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over southern WA and adjacent parts of the Bight. A
cold front will move over the southwest this afternoon and evening. This front
will weaken early Tuesday morning as a weak ridge of high pressure develops
over southern parts of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 27 July
Showers developing southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Hopetoun during the day.
Moderate falls possible in the Southwest district, with lighter falls further
north and east. Winds freshening and becoming gusty through inland parts of the
South West Land Division during the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 July
Showers about the south coast. Light morning showers about the Central West,
Central Wheat Belt and inland areas of the Southeast Coastal district.
Forecast for Wednesday 29 July
Showers southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany, with light morning showers
possible on the west coast up to Perth.
Forecast for Thursday 30 July
Showers southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany. Warm conditions through the
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
