Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lying over central parts maintains the easterly flow
in the north. The ridge will weaken on Tuesday as a trough moves east through
the Pilbara and a cold front moves over southern parts. A ridge of high
pressure develops in the wake of the front over the south of the State on
Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high in the Bight will retreat towards southeastern Australia during today
ahead of a cold front which is expected to reach the west coast in the evening.
The front will rapidly weaken over the SW Land Division early Tuesday with a
westerly airstream in its wake over the southwest of the State. Another ridge
will then develop over southern parts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 22 June
Showers developing about the SW Capes during the morning and then extending to
west of a line Shark Bay to Bremer Bay in the late evening. Thunderstorms
possible near the SW Capes during the afternoon and extending to coastal parts
and inland areas southwest of a line Mandurah to Walpole in the evening. Areas
of morning frost possible about the South Interior, Goldfields and adjacent
South East Coastal and Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 June
Showers southwest of a line Coral Bay to Israelite Bay contracting to the South
West Land Division during the morning and coastal areas by the evening.
Possible thunderstorms southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay in the
morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 June
Showers over western and southern parts of the SW Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 25 June
Showers over the South West and about the south coast.
