Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will lie over southern parts of the State through to
Sunday. Fresh to strong easterly winds across the North of the State during the
mornings easing Monday and Tuesday as the ridge weakens across central parts of
the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high south of the State extends a ridge over southern WA which will persist
through the weekend. The high will retreat towards southeastern Australia on
Monday ahead of a cold front which is expected to reach the west coast in the
evening. The front will rapidly weaken over the SW Land Division early Tuesday
with a westerly airstream ensuing over the southwest of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 20 June
Showers about the south coast between Albany and Esperance and the Eucla coast
mainly during the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 21 June
Morning showers about the Eucla coast. Areas of morning frost possible about
the far eastern parts of the SW Land Division, Goldfields, inland Eucla and
South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 22 June
Showers developing about the SW Capes during the afternoon extending to west of
a line Shark Bay to Albany in the late evening. Thunderstorms possible near the
coast in the evening. Areas of morning frost possible about the Goldfields and
South Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 June
Showers over the SW Land Division with possible thunderstorms along the western
south coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
