Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia 
A broad trough extends from the inland Pilbara to the southern Kimberley. The 
trough will drift south into the North Interior during Wednesday and Thursday. 

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia 
A ridge of high pressure is situated south of the State and a broad trough lies 
near the west coast. The trough will deepen further on Tuesday, dragging a very 
hot airmass south. The trough will move east later on Tuesday and continue 
eastwards on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a cold front that crosses the 
southwest corner of the State from Wednesday evening

Forecast for the rest of Monday 27 January 
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and far northwest 
Interior. 

Forecast for Tuesday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley and northeast 
Pilbara. Very hot through inland parts. 

Forecast for Wednesday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far eastern parts of the 
Interior. Late showers possible over the Southwest district and the adjacent 
South Coastal district. 

Forecast for Thursday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley and eastern 
parts of the Interior. Showers over the Southwest, South Coastal and the 
western South East Coastal districts. Possible showers over the remaining west 
coast south of Geraldton. 

Forecast for Friday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley and eastern 
parts of the Interior. Possible showers along the south coast west of Bremer 
Bay, most likely during the morning.
