Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends through the Interior towards the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. The trough will push north to lie through the North Interior and Pilbara during Thursday and Friday before re-aligning through the west Kimberley towards the central Pilbara over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is passing over the southwest corner of the State and will move into the Bight early Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will build over southern WA in its wake Thursday and Friday. A high will form in the Bight and a surface trough will develop near the west coast on Saturday before moving eastwards later on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior. Showers over areas southwest of a line from Lancelin to Hopetoun.

Forecast for Thursday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northeast Interior, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers over southern coastal districts, clearing from the west during the day.

Forecast for Friday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northern Interior, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Showers possible southwest of a line Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 26 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northern Interior and northeast Gascoyne, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Morning showers possible along the western south coast between Walpole and Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 27 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northern Interior and northeast Gascoyne, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
