Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure through central WA will gradually weaken over the coming days as a high pressure cell over the southeast of the Continent moves east. A broad trough will develop over the Kimberley and Pilbara on Monday before shifting east on Tuesday and a new ridge of high pressure moves in from the west over central WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies through central inland parts with weak ridging occurring over the southwest of the State ahead of a cold front. The cold front will move through the South West Land Division during Monday and a weak ridge will develop south of the State on Tuesday. A weak, secondary front moves over southern parts of the South West Land Division during Tuesday evening into Wednesday, though will most likely dissipate as it moves inland.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 4 August
Showers through the Lower West, South West and adjacent Great Southern.

Forecast for Monday 5 August
Showers through the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields. Isolated thunderstorms southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Esperance.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 August
Showers through the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne and central and southern Goldfields, tending to rain areas about the south coast. Thunderstorms through northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields and the Eucla. Early thunderstorms possible along the west coast south of Jurien Bay.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 August
Showers through southern and western parts of the the South West Land Division, contracting to the south coast in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 8 August
Widespread frost through northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and southern parts of the South Interior. Showers about the south coast, extending into the Lower West and adjacent parts of the Great Southern during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
