Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A moderate to fresh east to southeasterly flow becoming fresh east to northeasterly during Tuesday as Tropical Cyclone Wallace, category 2, lies well to the north of the Pilbara coast and will continue to move west to southwest over the next few days. Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure strengthens to the south of the State. A trough will develop off the west coast by Tuesday morning and move slowly inland on Wednesday. On Thursday the trough will continue to move east as a weak front brushes the southwest of the State with a high pressure system moving south of the State on Thursday and Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and the east Pilbara coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 April
Rain and squally thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the far north Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley and east Pilbara coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and along the Pilbara Coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields.
Forecast for Thursday 11 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western Goldfields and eastern South West Land Division. Showers about southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 12 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division.
