Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the Pilbara coast and will drift slowly west over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies over central parts of the State with a high pressure ridge south of the State.
A broad trough will develop near the west coast on Monday before moving inland on Tuesday under the influence of a weak cold front approaching the SW Capes Tuesday night. A weak ridge then forms again south of the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 10 March
Patchy rain, mainly light fall over southeastern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields, easing to showers near the eastern south coast and western Eucla in the evening. Showers and squally thunderstorms over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Pilbara. Showers near the eastern south coast and over the Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and far northern inland Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, eastern Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields and the Eucla. Showers possible near the western south coast in the late evening.
Forecast for Thursday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, eastern Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields and the Eucla. Showers near the south coast and adjacent inland parts.
