Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends across southeastern parts of Western Australia with a trough extending along the west coast. The trough will move inland during Thursday as a new ridge of high pressure develops well south of the State. A cloud band will move over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division from Wednesday to Friday. The trough remains inland of the west coast till Saturday before moving east on Sunday as a new high pressure system builds over southern WA in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Rain over the southwest Gascoyne and northern South West Land Division extending through southern parts of the South West Land Division during the evening. Patchy mainly light rainfall anticipated.

Forecast for Thursday 7 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over parts of the north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 8 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields. Patchy, mainly light falls anticipated. The chance of a thunderstorm over northern and eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over coastal parts of the north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 9 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Goldfields. Patchy, mainly light falls anticipated. The chance of a thunderstorm over northern and eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over the coastal north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 10 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the South East Coastal and Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over the coastal north and west Kimberley.
