Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne into the Pilbara and North Interior and will remain fairly stationary until Saturday when it will move northward to lie through the inland Pilbara and Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is strengthening to the south of the State. A near stationary surface trough lies over the western Gascoyne and extends off the Central West coast, directing easterly winds over the South West Land Division, fresh and gusty at times. The trough will move eastwards during Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and Central West districts. Light showers possible near the Eucla coast. Very hot over the Central West and Lower West districts.
Forecast for Sunday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara and Gascoyne and Central West districts. Very hot over the Central West and Lower West districts.
Forecast for Monday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Gascoyne. Light showers possible near the south coast and adjacent inland parts.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Light showers possible near the Eucla coast.
