Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the northern Gascoyne to the North Interior and will remain near stationary for the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State with a surface trough near the west coast. The surface trough will deepen during this evening and Friday morning, before moving inland during the day. A weak front will brush the south of the State during Saturday with another ridge of high pressure building in its wake. A new surface trough will deepen near the west coast on Tuesday.

Forecast for Friday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and western Gascoyne. Very hot over the South West Land Division. Very hot over northern and western parts of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 2 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and the western Gascoyne. Showers developing about the south coast west of Israelite Bay during the day. Very hot over the Goldfields and northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 3 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Light showers along the south coast east of Albany. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Monday 4 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and northern Central West. Light showers along the south coast east of Albany. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
