Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough stretches from Onslow to Balgo Hills in the northern Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing south of the State. A trough will develop near the west coast during Saturday, deepen on Sunday and remain near the west coast on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern inland Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields. Very hot in the Pilbara, Interior and southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 5 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far northeast Interior, inland Pilbara and the inland Gascoyne. Very hot in the Pilbara, Interior and southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 6 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern Interior, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers possible near the south coast west of Bremer Bay. Very hot in the Pilbara, southern Kimberley and western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the south coast west of Israelite Bay. Very hot in the Pilbara, southern Kimberley and western Gascoyne.
