Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley and should remain through inland parts from Sunday to middle parts of next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight and is moving slowly east. A trough lies near the west coast and will contract eastwards in southern parts on Sunday, before re developing near the west coast on Monday as a high pressure system moves south of the state. The trough will remain fairly stationary on Tuesday, before contracting eastwards overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 22 December
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central West District, far northeastern Lower West and western parts of the Central Wheat Belt and western Great Southern.

Forecast for Sunday 23 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara, southwest Gascoyne, Central West, western Central Wheat Belt, Great, inland Lower West, South Coastal and western South East coastal districts. Very hot in the southern Kimberley, inland Pilbara and parts of the inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 24 December
Thunderstorms in the north and west Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and eastern South West Land Division. Chance of a shower near the western south coast. Very hot in the inland Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland western Gascoyne and inland northern South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 December
Thunderstorms in the northwest Kimberley, inland west Pilbara and inland Gascoyne. Chance of a shower near the south coast. Very hot through most inland parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 December
Thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeast Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, north and east South West Land Division. Chance of a shower near the south coast. Very hot through most inland parts.
