Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to near the west Pilbara coast. The trough will move well inland from the Pilbara coast later on Friday, moving further inland during Saturday before reforming again through the inland Pilbara and Northern Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure cell lies in the Bight with a trough along the west coast. The trough will deepen on Friday before moving eastwards over the weekend. A ridge of high pressure will develop south of the State early next week.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 December
Showers and thunderstorms about the north and east Kimberley.
Forecast for Friday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Kimberley then also developing about the southern Gascoyne, Central West, inland Lower West and adjacent parts. Evening showers and thunderstorms about the South West District.
Forecast for Saturday 15 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the southern half of the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields, with thunderstorms to gradually contract eastwards in the evening. Showers developing along the Central West Coast in the evening.
Forecast for Sunday 16 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla gradually contracting eastwards during the day. Showers about the Central West, Lower West and South West districts.
Forecast for Monday 17 December
Showers about central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and also coastal parts of the Central West, Lower West and South West districts.
